IronMike
****************************************** In case this thread is marked "OPEN" please post your application as a reply following the example: Name: Smart E. Xample (Callsign: "Smartman") Age: 29 Time Flying in DCS: Approximately 1 year Preferred Aircraft: Parachute Reason for applying: Growing up it was my dream to become a fighter pilot in the US Navy. Earlier this year I learned of DCS while playing BF4 and the rest has been history. I love being able to use DCS as an outlet to satisfy my dream of becoming a great fighter pilot. By nature I am a perfectionist with a strong desire to be the best in anything I do. As a result of this personality trait, I am very willing to work hard to achieve that greatness. Over the last 5 months, with the guidance/coaching of more experience pilots in the 104th TS, I feel I have made many positive strides in improving as a virtual pilot. Still, I know I have much to learn and improve on. While I am proud of the initial progress I have made, I realize that those who become great were often guided and mentored by those that were great before them. That is where the 104th comes in, and I am excited that there is an even greater opportunity to achieve a steep learning curve within the 104th VFBS. I believe that having the opportunity to learn from, and fly as a team with, the members of the 104th is the optimal next step for me. My early track record of showing an ability to learn quickly and fly as part of a team make me confident that I have established the early foundational skills necessary to generate positive impact within the existing 104th family. All of these things make me confident that I would be a wise investment for the 104th. But - hold on a second... BEFORE APPLYING - please take a moment and read the following threads CAREFULLY (it's not optional, it's a PREREQUESITE and if we notice - and we will - that you didn't read them upfront, we will decline your application straight away): How to join the 104th: Software and Hardware requirements: How to apply steb by step: Undergraduate Pilot Training: UPTs - Track file location and Dos and Don'ts: Thank you for your interest and application! winchesterdelta1
NAME: "WinchesterDelta1" (Callsign: WinchesterDelta1) Age: 32 Time Flying in DCS: Since Flanker 2.5 / LockOn / FC1 / FC2 and FC3 Preferred Aircraft: F-15C Eagle / Mirage 2000C / F-86 Sabre / F-5 Tiger / SU-27 Flanker / SU-33 Flanker / MIG-29 Fulcrum / A-10C Warthog I don't have the Nevada map. Reasons for Applying: I always thought highly of the 104th. When i started to fight you guy's on the server i could not believe why i could not defeat you guy's. So i started reading up a lot on how the weapon systems work and how to perform tactics. After months and months of grinding my tactic by trying them over and over again i knew what i could and could not do. After i did some nice tournaments with you guy's i knew i wanted to get in. But never really took the time to read on how to get recruited. Right now i'm starting to slack in my tactics and become very cocky. Resulting in very sloppy flying due to be kind of bored with it. I can not let that happen. I want to be once again a virtual fighter pilot to be feared and bring more joy into flying. On my own i'm very strong. But with a team i suck bad and my concentration go's down the drain, resulting in stupid errors and mistakes. Learn to fly as a team is where it is for me. I would be very honored to try and join your team and be a respected member of it. Bolt
Name: Matt "BOLT" LaRocque Age: Ok i'll tell you: 54Time Flying in DCS: Religiously for about 6 yrs.Preferred Aircraft: F-15CReason for applying: I'll start by saying you guy's are the 104th. I've been around for quite some time in the DCS community. Have many friends and the 104th is one of them. Some of you know me, some of you dont. I honestly miss the camaraderie, the flying, and the enjoyment that DCS has to offer. i'm looking torward to learning the 104th way. Hell who knows i might even know something you dont. ( I doubt it tho). What I can bring to the table is as such, To listen and learn. And to put to use the what I'm taught by the 104th. Dedication for me here is a given with this. Sorry but I have not flown DCS much recently. And am flying a bit every day to get somewhat back up to speed. And am looking forward to it. A lot of what I have learned in the past I'm sure, can and will be brought to light by the knowledge of the 104th IP's who are some of the best. One thing i do regard highly is the team effort. I see that with you guy's. And one of the main reasons for my app. Have flown a lot on you're server in the past and you'll see me a lot again.Thanks. I look forward from hearing from youS! Dozer
Name: Steve Strittmatter (Callsign: "Dozer") Age: 46 Time Flying in DCS: Approximately 1 1/2 years Preferred Aircraft: F-15 Reason for applying: I always have loved fighter jets and did not realize all that is needed to be in the right position before you shoot missiles or avoid missiles! I started Flying on the 104th when I first loaded DCS and flew for like 2 months getting killed left and right. The one day a 104th member gave me some tips that helped me get some kills, then another 104th Member Knight and Stuge helped me even more and now I can kill and avoid missiles now too! I have a lot to learn yet. However I want to learn and be apart of the 104th team so I can learn how to be a better fighter pilot and also be that guy to help others.ThanksDozer IronMike

Things became serious and fun became hard training and as a result of that, I'd like to become a member of the 104th.
