We are removing the Mig21 from our server for the next week to test stability without it running in the missions.

We have had reports from our friends at =TAW= that the Mig21 may be guilty of creating lag spikes and other issues to clients in the server not flying the Mig21.

To us stability is paramount, so we are going to see how we get on for a week without the Mig21 in the server. If we notice an improvement in stability we will not include the Mig21 again until the issues associated with it are fixed.
If there is no noticeable improvement we will add it back in at the end of the week.

We will keep you updated via this thread!

Did you extract the files correctly? And not nested into another folder?

I actually deleted the folder from both the regular DCS and the Openbeta's folders, then pressed repair button and still no joy . .

I want people to make a autoexec.cfg file in C:\Users\<xxxx>\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config and put these lines in it (or add to an existing one)... This will help your client be stable and not warp.

net.download_speed = 262144

net.upload_speed = 262144

I understand opening notepad and pasting this script into it and placing it into the /savedgames/config. The part I'm not sure about is do I save it as a *.txt or as "all files" ? I've used it and came into the 104th server today, but the game has crashed a couple times, though and I'm not sure if it's because of this .cfg I made or because I switched aircraft.

Thanks

KV

Save as whatever you want and then rename the entire file to autoexec.cfg

Riptide,

Tried the autoexec.cfg.... worked once and then CTD for DCS at about 5 minutes in.  DCS will not initialize with that cfg for me now...but it will without it.

Flew today (and yesterday) without it.  I get CTDs about 15-30 minutes into the mission.  Multiple times.  Game time was between 0900ish and 1000ish local if you can check the join-leave files on your end you could see how long each time before I get a CTD.  Feels to me like a memory leak (maybe on DCS on my end) but that's a complete guess.  Last CTD happened when I was flying A10A from Novo ...fired 2 AGM-65Ds and was locking a 3rd when CTD occured (so 2 missiles in the air) Didn't seem to be many folks in the mission when I was flying.

Regards

AldoUSMC

Update... came back on and had a few long flights... 45 min + return to Krymsk. rearm, reattack (Grnd Atk Su27) and return.  So CTDs are inconsistent... not predictable.
