In response to Red Force aggression in the Straits of Hormuz, Blue Force have been tasked with taking control of this vital bottleneck after Red Force naval units seized a foreign tanker last week near Bandar Abbas.

Blue Force commanders have tasked the air wing with seizing control of 6 key airfields on the South Eastern Iranian coastline.  The target airbases are Lavan Island, Kish Island, Lar Airbase, Bandar Lengeh, Tunb Kochak and Tunb Island AFB.
Command of the region hinges upon the control of these key airbases and Red Force have been tasked with fighting to the last man to defend their territory.

Blue Force will win the battle if they capture all six target airbases.  Red will prevail if, after 12 hours Blue have failed to capture all six bases.

Blue Airbases
Al Dhafra, USS Stennis, USS Tarawa and USS Nassau.

Red Airbases

Bandar Abbas, Havadarya, Qeshm Island, Bandar Lengeh, Tunb Kochak, Tunb Island AFB, Lar Airbase, Kish Island and Lavan Island.

BLUE

Welcome to Operation Sandstorm.  This is an airfield capture mission with 6 target airfields that are to be captured in the following order Lavan Island, Kish Island, Lar Airbase, Bandar Lengeh, Tunb Kochak and Tunb Island AFB.  All of these bases are currently under enemy control and heavily defended.
Airbases can be captured by eliminating all the enemy units on the ground defending the base.  Once the enemy has been destroyed friendly forces will then move in to secure the position.
Helicopters are also available with CTLD to enable reinforcements to be placed around friendly positions to stop the enemy retaking newly captured bases, friendly choppers are available onboard the USS Nassau and Kish Island along with Bandar Lengeh once these bases have been captured.

Enemy Naval forces have consolidated along the Southern Iranian shoreline near Bandar Lengeh blocking access inland towards Bandar Abbas.  Our Anti Ship platforms will have to coordinate with BARCAP to penetrate enemy airspace and eliminate these threats to succeed with capturing the target airbases safely.

Our forces are primarily launching from the USS John C. Stennis Carrier Battlegroup located Southwest of Bullseye in the South of the Persian Gulf, projecting airpower using Tomcat, Hornet and Harrier aircraft to attack the enemy coastline.  These aircraft are working with KC-135MPRS tankers from Mildenhall callsign “ARCO” for their AAR requirements over the Gulf.
Our non naval partners are launching in theatre from Al Dhafra Airbase. Once Kish Island has been secured fixed wing and rotary aircraft will be available at the base for our forces to utilise.

The USS Nassau is located West of Bullseye and is providing launch operations for our Helicopter crews based on the ship to enable insertion of troops from the sea.  The carrier is escorted by US and Ukrainian warships but will require additional top cover protection from our fighter aircraft.

***WEAPON AVAILABILITY***
The AMRAAM, Aim-54 and Aim9X are only available at sea or at Kish Island and Al Dhafra.

The AGM-88C HARM is only available at at sea onboard the carrier.

CAP
-----

Escort our strike aircraft attacking the enemies airbases.  The initial priority is to attack and secure Lavan Island so prioritise any sorties heading in that direction for protection.  Once Kish Island has been captured additional multirole aircraft will be unlocked and able to spawn at Kish Island for our coalition.
The enemy has many SAMS defending its territory, particularly near the coastline and on the road to Bandar Abbas.  Extreme caution must be used flying in proximity to the enemy coast which has been reinforced with various types of radar and IR SAMS by the enemy.  Escorting our SEAD aircraft to deal with these threats is a high priority mission.
Strike aircraft are also tasked with destroying the enemy SA-6 positions that are defending the coastline to Bandar Abbas.
These aircraft will require escort to complete their objective however heavy caution should be used when operating in this area.  The area around Bullseye is also saturated with enemy SAMs both on land and at sea, both Tunb Islands are heavily defended by Warships and radar SAMs, enter into this airspace at your own risk!

The enemy will primarily be launching fighter aircraft out of Bandar Abbas and strike aircraft from Havadarya, they also have some lighter fighter aircraft based at Qeshm Island and Bandar Lengeh.

Another High Priority Tasking is the defence of our Landing Helicopter Assault (LHA) ship the USS Nassau currently located 274for 79nm from Bullseye.  Friendly helicopter assets will be launching sorties from this location to drop friendly troops in enemy territory and to help reinforce captured airbases.
The enemy will try and attack this carrier so keeping it secure and operational will play a big part in any victory, losing the carrier will result in losing the aircraft slots associated with it and the ability to launch sorties from the Gulf.

The USS John C. Stennis and her escorts are steaming through the southern Persian Gulf Southwest of Bullseye for approximately 90nm launching strikes on the enemy.  Although we have a heavy naval presence in the area, top cover is still essential for the safety of these state assets and CAP will be required to keep away any enemy anti ship strikes that could potentially sink the carrier losing the ability to launch multirole jets from the sea.

Ground Attack
----------------

*** IMPORTANT!  Before attacking any airbase press F10 and click on it to check its coalition status.***

Our objective is to capture in order Lavan Island, Kish Island, Lar Airbase, Bandar Lengeh, Tunb Kochak and Tunb Island AFB.

The priority goal is to attack and secure Lavan Island, followed by Kish Island and then North to Lar Airbase.
Once Kish Island has been taken and reinforced by our forces aircraft slots will be unlocked for our coalition to use at the airbase, making it a high level strategic goal to capture it quickly and start projecting power from inside enemy territory.

The second stage of the operation requires our coalition to secure Bandar Lengeh and both Tunb Island airbases.

Once all six airfields have been captured by friendly forces our coalition will win the battle.

Our ability to mask from the enemy datalink will be greatly improved by targeting the three Early Warning Radar sites located in country.  These sites are located within integrated air defence networks and will take planning and coordination to take out.  Approximate coordinates to these sites and other targets are listed below.

Our secondary objective is to destroy the enemy SA-6 sites guarding the coastline.  These troop positions are heavily defended with mobile SAM troops and radar SAMs and as such, extreme caution must be used when engaging.  Approximate locations of these positions are given below.

Helicopters
-------------

Your main objective is to reinforce friendly positions with ground troops and SAM systems by using the CTLD script.  We are targeting Lavan Airbase first, deploying from the USS Nassau head 355 towards Lavan Airbase but be mindful of the enemy warships and enemy aircraft protecting the area.

Once we secure our second objective Kish Island additional helicopter aircraft will be available from the airbase, we will also be able to load troops and crates from Kish once captured.

Our objective is to capture in order Lavan Island, Kish Island, Lar Airbase, Bandar Lengeh, Tunb Kochak and Tunb Island AFB.

Red

Welcome to Operation Sandstorm.  This is an airfield defence mission with 6 target airfields Lavan Island, Kish Island, Lar Airbase, Bandar Lengeh, Tunb Kochak and Tunb Island AFB all of which are currently under friendly control.
Our role is to defend these airbases for today's battle until reinforcements can arrive by sea in the coming days to take on the Blue force navy.
Our airbases can be captured by the enemy if they eliminate all our units on the ground defending the base.  Once the enemy has destroyed our friendly forces they will then move in to secure the position with ground troops of their own.
Helicopters are available with CTLD to enable reinforcements to be placed around friendly positions to help stop the enemy taking bases, friendly choppers are available at Bandar Lengeh, Kish Island and FARP Beach.

Enemy Naval forces have massed in the southern Gulf off Qatar and are planning to project airpower on to our coastline and capture Lavan and Kish Islands to gain a foothold in our territory.  Once they have captured Kish Island they will move on to attempt to capture the surrounding airbases in the area.

Our forces are primarily launching from Bandar Abbas and Havadarya airbases, we also have interceptors based at Qeshm airbase.

***WEAPON AVAILABILITY***
The AMRAAM / PHOENIX is only available at Bandar Abbas, Havardarya, Qeshm Island, Lar Airbase, Bandar Lengeh and Kish Island.

RBK-15s are only available from Bandar Abbas or Qeshm Island.
RB-04s are available at Bandar Lengeh and Qeshm Island.

The AGM-88C HARM is only available at at sea onboard the carrier.

CAP
-----

The priority tasking is to establish air superiority North and Northwest of Bullseye to prevent the enemy from eliminating our ground troops based at the coastal airfields.
Friendly strike aircraft will also require escort to attack enemy ground positions should the enemy capture any of the target airbases.

The enemy will be targeting Lavan and Kish Island as their first priority so our forces are required to coordinate a defence to prevent the enemy from gaining a foothold on the coastline.
If Kish Island falls, the enemy will be able to spawn fast jets and helicopters at the airbase and the position will be reinforced by American SAMs.
From Kish, the enemy will plan to take Lar Airbase then Bandar Lengeh as they progress along their objective to capture all six target airbases.

The enemy must control Lavan Island, Kish Island, Lar Airbase, Bandar Lengeh, Tunb Kochak and Tunb Island AFB to achieve victory, if Lavan, Kish, Lar and Bandar Lengeh all fall a heavy shift of friendly BARCAP should be utilised to protect both Tunb Island bases to stop the enemy from gaining control and victory of the battle.

Ground Attack
-------------------
*** IMPORTANT!  Before attacking any airbase press F10 and click on it to check its coalition status.***

Our priority goal is to destroy any units that the enemy deploys on to the battlefield.  If one of our airbases is captured the enemy will reinforce this position with radar and infrared SAM systems, the enemy also have helicopters that are deploying ground troops and mobile SAMs.

Check the F10 map for the status of target airbases to check if the enemy has captured them, in game messages will also confirm when airbases have fell into enemy hands.

The main enemy staging area is out to sea, where they have 3 carriers deployed, 2 Helicopter Assault Ships and 1 Nimitz class carrier Southwest of Bullseye.  The enemy Battlegroup is well defended with warships and frigates strategically placed to dominate the eastern end of the Black Sea.

Anti-Ship
------------

The enemy has committed a substantial battlegroup in to the Persian Gulf that is currently located Southwest of Bullseye by some 100nm.  The battlegroup led by the USS Stennis consists of multiple US heavy warships as escorts along with Ukrainian naval assets.  The enemy also has a Helicopter Assault Ship located West of Bullseye that is acting as a staging platform for enemy helicopter movements on to the coastline.
Both groups are heavily defended by surface and air threats and will require an escort from friendly fighters to take on successfully.

Helicopters
---------------

Your main objective is to reinforce friendly positions with ground troops and SAM systems by using the CTLD script.  The enemy is targeting Lavan and Kish Island airbases first so deploying from Kish Island to reinforce Lavan early will help our coalition off to a great start.
If Kish Island falls into enemy hands beware of them advancing towards Lar Airbase and Bandar Lengeh, additional friendly helicopters are also available from FARP Beach.
