I was ban.

Hello 104th,

My IGN is AV8R.

So why I was ban, (I have only been playing on the 104th's server for 1-2 hours.) I was taking off from the runway and one of my own team mates shot me down know and he didn't get kicked, ban or anything (I do not recall his name) so I thought it would be okay if I strafed him back so when he was on the ground again I strafed him and I think I hit anoter guy by acedent. Anyway then I got ban, I had no idea it was breaking the rules to strafe a friendlie, like I said before I have only played your awesome server for about 1-2 hours and I've only been playing DCS world for less than a week.

Hi AV8R, I have been through the chatlogs and serverlogs that record everything that happened when you were flying.

 

For most of the time that you were flying in that flight, no 104th Admins were on the server, not until I got there. 

 

First of all you were Teamkilled by a guy called IASGATG

Next thing that I could see that happened that got my attention was this:

Not a big deal, mistakes happen.

 

Nothing more happened until you went strafing on friendlies and killed this guy:

As you can see, the guy that Teamkilled you "IASGATG" was nowhere near the base when you gunned the friendly. Clearly he was in the air killing Blue fighters and not on the ground, so your excuse of "i thought it would be ok to gun him" isn't going to hold up with me.

 

Now I have been through these server logs a few times and can't see anyone who teamkilled you on purpose. Unfortunately mistakes happen and admins know this. Look at the time on these logs, as I said earlier, no 104th Admins were online until I logged in at around 03:19. I just took off in my KA50 when people were screaming about you strafing them at their base. 

 

You said one of your teammates shot you down and you were only doing it to get revenge. Firstly, the guy you strafed didn't kill you and second there's a huge page called a Briefing Page covering our server rules. Obviously you skipped by it at lightning speed to get into your plane. Not a crime, but saying you don't know the rules when they are written down for everyone isn't much of a defense really is it?

 

So where are we up to? That's right, the server had just auto kicked you for teamkilling 2 people WOLFMAN ARG! and the later GilletteMach3. I hadn't banned you at this point. You came back in the server straight away and i asked you why you were strafing friendlies? Infact lets looks at the conversation.

At this point I banned you as there wasn't even a hint of an apology or a reason why you did what you did. If anything you seem to think it was funny. Yet after you were banned you come on the forums and onto 104th Teamspeak talking to the Senior Staff like you were the victim. Any other 104th Admin would have done exactly the same I can assure you. On a side note I noticed in the chat logs that people were saying you did the same thing and were gunning friendlies the day before in a 25T. Shall I look into this too? 

 

In the 104th Server, everyone is welcome, whether you have been playing for 2 days or 2 years. We try and be welcoming and help out as much as possible. But everyone and I mean everyone has to follow the rules. 

 

Still think i'm being unfair AV8R?

 

*EDIT - AV8R, you have been banned for 1 week as of today. I will remove your ban myself in a week. My advice is to take the ban and remember why it happened. After I unban you in a week, you are more than welcome to fly again on the 104th.

First off I did not see where you asked why I shot some friendlys. And when you said "not a good enough reason" that was when I first thought that I might have broken a rule or something. And if you see the chat logs I was asking " reason for what?"

Then I was starting to type something out when I was ban, if you see the time stamps it all happened within 30 seconds and I honestly did not know what was going on. And for the fact that I shot the wrong person I honestly did not know I wasn't shooting IASGATG.

It is my fault because when I joined your server I didn't look for any rules or ask anyone...

As for the SU-25t incident I don't recall perposly shooting at friendlys, but if you want to look into that and find that I did. Please extend my ban as long as you feel is apropriate...

In conclusion, I did not know how long the ban was for, and didn't want to be ban for like 6 months or somthing. And I think that a week is relatively reasonable.

Ok good. Use this week to figure what servers have more relaxed rules and who are more strict. The ban will be lifted after a week.

 

This issue in now closed AV8R and I hope to see you back on the 104th server in a week. (Reading the rules of course)
