Moneys new Warthog setup

Recommended Posts

So I just picked up the Thrustmaster Warthog throttle/joystick combo as well as the pedals.

First impressions are pretty good but man pulling back on the stick is like pulling on a vault door at the bank. Looks like I have to relearn flying each aircraft again, more muscle to get larger stick movements against the resistance and the travel of the throttles is much farther than the CH throttle I was using so in a helo descent Im behind on the power and settling too fast.

The pedals are not doing well for me, I have problems sliding smoothly as well as finding center again. May fix my CH pedals and use them...

Anyone know of any mods to do for the stick and pedals??

Edit: I rearranged my computer desk to make room for the new stick and throttle. After unplugging everything the TM pedals stopped working properly, tried reinstalling drivers but it doesnt show up anymore...went back to CH pedals for now.

Yee sounds a lot like my first experience with the Warthog. I basically had terrible PIO issue in the beginning and with the throttle it also takes a while to learn all the needed positions etc. but its obviously really worth it. :D

I cant comment on the TM pedals though.

For the stick I can recommend stick extensions, I have done the DIY trip and got also some aluminium CNC'd ones. I also bolted the stick to my chair, which is great in terms of experience, but honestly a little annoying to put it on and remove it to switch between working and flying. :D

Can you still see the pedals in windows device manager ?
